MCP2IS is a unique product within Garlands MCP product portfolio. This is a 7/0.25 mm conductor rather than the standard 7/0.20 mm and each pair is individually screened with two individual drain wires. There is no overall screen, just an overall PVC jacket.

This product fulfils demand for a number of applications. It can be used as a standard RS-422 product to interconnect computer DTE devices such as printers, scanners, faxes and modems.

It can be used as a security cable to connect sensors, motion detectors, IR detectors, reed switches, alarm relays, sound sensors and key pads to alarm control units.

It can also be used in intercom and access control systems where a 2 pair cable is required to connect remote devices to the main control panel.

Finally, it can also be used as a microphone or line level cable in an audio installation.
