New from Silca – The Quattrocode D-Series
Packed with innovative time saving features, the new Quattrocode D-Series of machines replaces the well known a long lasting Triax Family.
Based on the same architecture and platform as the hugely successful Unocode F-Series, the new Quattrocode D-Series of machines are for precision cutting high volumes of dimple or track keys, in a professional locksmith shop or workshop setting.
The machines offer new levels of automation, with many features never seen in this class of machine. Using technology developed for the semi-industrial Protech family, the Silca Quattrocode D-Series now introduces robotic manipulation for key positioning and repositioning, allowing a key to be cut on multiple sides without operator intervention.
Rotary engraving allows the key to be precision scribed with key number data at the same time, meaning once the key is set in the jaw, the machine will do the rest – giving you a finished, cut and engraved key.
A built-in camera allows the machine to ‘see’ the blank key and ensure it’s correctly positioned. New cutters with RFID technology are deployed to ensure a perfect cut, and that the correct cutter is used every time.
Onboard software includes popular and relevant code series, and the intuitive interface, driven by the industrial grade touch-screen controller makes using the machine fast and easy.
High speed and high precision engineering reduces cycle time by up to 20% over previous models while maintaining a perfect cut.
Subjected to a rigorous acoustic engineering overhaul during the development process, the machine is quieter than before, reducing workshop noise and fatigue.
A new automatic clamp electronically opens and closes during the cutting cycle, working on harmony with the robotic arm to keep the key securely positioned during both (or all 4) sides of the cutting process. An integrated compressed air blower keeps the working area clear of swarf and ensures keys sit perfectly flat during the complete cutting cycle.
