Vale Peter Green

LSC are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend and esteemed colleague Peter Green.

“Greenie” was one of the founding members of LSC’s Sydney branch, and helped get LSC up and running when we moved into Seville Street in Parramatta in 1988. It’s said he had LSC blood in his veins! Often the first person customers saw, Greenie was a can-do bloke, nothing was a drama and he loved a good challenge. He was also up for a chat with customers, and could tell a great story or two.

He helped us move to newer premises in Silverwater, and was the face behind the counter or the voice over the phone for many years. Twelve years ago he moved north, and took up a position in our Brisbane branch, bringing the same client focused, positive attitude and long industry and product knowledge to customers over the border.

More recently, he wanted to shorten his journey to work, having moved back to NSW (but only just), and was living in Tweed Heads. He joined Eric and the team at Border Locksmiths –enduring the (rather ridiculous) interstate border crossing daily during Covid, but really enjoyed seeing the industry ‘from the other side’.

Well known, well remembered and loved by customers and colleagues alike we were much saddened to learn of his sudden passing on the 19th of July.
